Keith Sebelius was an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He served as a United States Representative from Kansas's 6th congressional district from 1969 to 1981. Sebelius was born on August 23, 1916, in Norton, Kansas, and graduated from Kansas State University in 1942. He served in the United States Army during World War II, earning a Bronze Star. Sebelius also served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1953 to 1956 and in the Kansas Senate from 1961 to 1968. He was known for advocating for agriculture, rural issues, and veterans' rights during his time in office. Sebelius passed away on August 5, 1982, in Norton, Kansas, at the age of 65. He is the father of former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius.
